Ups ... your application is updating

Hello at all,

An idea smote me last night. This matters the windows people only. So, all the folks who aren't windows user, get right off it.

What's all about the updates every time in the mostly ineligible moment, just than you try to work really hard. Wouldn't it be nice, if we have a donwload manager like in all unix derivates? And what's happen with the application layouts. Why is the cool stuff like the winamp skins not suitable for all aps?
This leads me to the hypothesis: applications should only do what they are build for. I think the popular book "Effective C++" by Scott Meyers in the year 1992 (ISBN:0-201-56364-9) mentioned that problem already.

Hypothesis:

Every Object or Application in the computer world should handle only his most necessary responsibility.

I know, I didn't get any award for this. It's to simple and clear. Everyone already thought this. But at least, it must be mentioned again and again.
